Gatcombe Park Farm Glamping is a relaxed, friendly & peaceful campsite. Somewhere to get away from it all and enjoy the great outdoors, natural surroundings, and wildlife. We hope that you enjoy the natural environment as much as we do and with that in mind, we ask if you would consider the following rules and etiquette…
Is there a restaurant nearby?
Yes we have a lovely Village pub called the TALLY HO Only a 10 minute walk away or 3 a minute drive! The Pig & whistle pub a 30 minute walk or a 3 minute drive lovely
Totnes is a five minute drive and has many lovely pubs restaurants and cafes
Where are the closest shops?
Totnes Dating back to 907 AD, it is a fascinating historical town which combines stunning countryside with independent shopping, local food & drink and interesting attractions. Located in the heart of South Devon on the banks of the River Dart, this unique and charming town has an international reputation for its lively and diverse community and relaxed atmosphere.
Is there a BBQ/Firepit
Yes, every glamping unit has its own fire pit and BBQ outside
For camping we have a few on a first come first serve basis for hire.
For wood, Glampers will be provided with a basket of logs and lighting wood for bookings above one night to get you started, further log baskets can be purchased from us, we don't allow wood to be brought in from outside.
How do I check-in and out?
You Pull up by the house on your way in and call from there where we will check you in. Check-in is from 3 pm. If you haven’t already heard from us by arrival day please text or call us on 07976279651. You can always send us a text or give us a ring if you have any questions or any problems. Please text on the day with your ETA
Check out is anytime before 10 am on departure day. Please use rubbish bins, finish your washing up and make sure things are back where you found them before leaving if in a Glamping unit.
Parking
Free parking is available for all our guests, we will direct you were to park on arrival, there is no driving on the paddock or to your pitch, wheel barrows for the short walk will be provide. Our Showman's wagon has its own private parking .
Can I charge my EV car?
No sorry, we don't have any EV charging points, the nearest points are in Morrisons supermarket just 3 minutes away.
Do the Tipi tents have electric?
No, we encourage you to fully embrace glamping and the outside by not having charge points for your phones or Wifi, they have a battery lamp and we provide a torch , If you are really struggling we will charge a phone for a £5.00 fee or we advice you bring a portable battery back up pack.
Is there Wifi on site
The Showman's wagon and Retro cabin have Wifi
For Campers and Tipi.s NO
we encourage you to fully embrace glamping and the outside by not having charge points for your phones or Wifi,
If you begin to experience severe withdrawal symptoms we will charge a phone for a £5.00 fee. We advise bringing your own battery pack or a dongle.
Countryside care

Leave no trace on the land and use the bins provided.

No smoking inside the Tipi tents or any Glamping spaces and please do not throw butts on the ground. Use fire pits and sand cigarette bins provided. The paddock is used for grazing animals, butts harm the animals!

Please wash up and return any items from the kitchen back to the kitchen.

Please leave our toilet block and communal Glamping kitchen clean & tidy as you found it.

Please respect other guests and be quiet after 10 pm

NO PETS

Please close the gates behind you

Please walk on footpaths and not through farmers crops (Including long grass)

No fireworks or sky lanterns as we have Animals around us.

Do NOT feed the Alpacas.

Vehicles are to be parked in the car park. Please use the trollies or wheelbarrows provided to transport your belongings from your vehicle to your tent and put back in the car park for the next guests.
We’re celebrating a special occasion, can we have a space decorated?
Yes, we can arrange a bottle of bubbly, flowers or if you have something in mind please let us know. for details please contact us prior to arrival date for price.
What is inside the Tipi's Glamping tents

Tipi’s there is a standing fridge freezer in the communal kitchen area. It is checked daily, if you have not placed your name and leaving date on your items they will be removed as people tend to leave things behind when they leave. Please be courteous and don’t fill the whole space with your food, there is one shelf for each tipi tent, Campers: you will need to provide your own cool boxes I’m afraid as the fridge is for paying Glampers only.

Microwave (in communal Tipi glamping space campers are welcome to use this when glampers are not using.)

Pans, cooking utensils, crockery, glasses, mugs and cutlery – including (but not limited to) cafetiere, potato peeler, grater, sharp knives, bottle opener, colander, scissors etc

Can I walk into Totnes from the site?
Yes, there is a nice bridleway that take around 40 minutes, the best day to walk into Totnes would be on a Friday or Saturday as there is a lovely vibrant market.
